VerseCue

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

1. Overview

VerseCue respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you use the VerseCue mobile application and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, VerseCue may collect information such as your name, email address, and account identifier.

Audio and voice data. VerseCue uses microphone access to provide features such as Quick Verse and Live Mode. Audio may be transmitted to VerseCue servers and service providers for processing so the app can identify Bible verses and provide the requested functionality.

Saved app content. Depending on how you use VerseCue, we may store information such as:

Subscription and free trial information. VerseCue uses Apple In-App Purchases and RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and introductory offers. We may receive information such as your subscription status, product selected, trial or introductory-offer status, renewal status, and expiration status. VerseCue does not receive your full payment card information.

Notification information. If you enable notifications, VerseCue may store or process information needed to schedule and manage notifications, such as your notification permission status and reminder preferences.

Technical information. We may collect limited technical information needed to operate and improve VerseCue, such as device information, app version, service usage data, and error or diagnostic information.

3. How We Use Information

4. Notifications

VerseCue may request permission to send notifications, including optional Verse of the Day reminders. Notifications may appear on your device, including on the Lock Screen, depending on your device settings.

You can change or disable notification permissions at any time through your device settings. Disabling notifications does not prevent you from using other VerseCue features.

5. Widgets

VerseCue may offer Home Screen or other device widgets that display scripture content such as the Verse of the Day. Widget availability, display behavior, and refresh timing are controlled in part by your device operating system.

6. Third-Party Services

VerseCue relies on third-party service providers for certain functionality, including authentication, cloud storage, backend hosting, audio or AI processing, diagnostics, app distribution, and subscription management. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide services to VerseCue and are subject to their own privacy terms and policies.

7. Data Sharing

VerseCue does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers when necessary to operate the app, process requests, manage subscriptions, maintain security, comply with law, or protect the rights and safety of VerseCue and its users.

8. Data Retention

We retain account information and saved content while your account remains active or as needed to provide VerseCue. Some information may be retained for a limited period for security, fraud prevention, backup, legal, transaction-recordkeeping, or technical reasons.

9. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your VerseCue account and associated data through the account deletion option available in the app. You may also contact VerseCue for assistance with deletion or privacy-related requests.

Certain information may be retained when required by law or when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, transaction recordkeeping, or other legitimate purposes.

Deleting your VerseCue account does not necessarily cancel an active subscription managed by Apple. You may need to separately manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account settings.

10. Microphone Permission

VerseCue requests microphone access only when needed for voice-based features such as Quick Verse and Live Mode. You may revoke microphone permission at any time through your device settings, although voice-based features may stop working.

11. Children's Privacy

VerseCue is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable privacy laws.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information processed by VerseCue. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page.
